Job Description

As a JSCAPE File Transfer Specialist, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, focused on delivering robust and efficient solutions for their file transfer framework.

In this role, you will join a dynamic team responsible for managing a critical infrastructure that handles millions of transactions across global markets.

You will be at the forefront of integrating, operating, and optimizing the file transfer processes that are vital to the client’s business operations, ensuring secure and seamless data exchanges within a highly regulated environment.Your main responsibilities: Planning, integrating, and operating a high-availability file transfer infrastructure based on JSCAPE, using various secure file transfer protocols.Acting as a technical contact for internal stakeholders and external clients, providing expertise and guidance on file transfer processesCollaborating with project managers, product owners, and business analysts to gather and implement feature requirementsIdentifying areas for improvement in the file transfer processes and driving changes to enhance efficiency and securitySupporting and maintaining the file transfer framework, ensuring high availability and reliabilityTaking responsibility for the deployment and operation of file transfer solutions, including troubleshooting and incident managementParticipating in regular on-call rotations to ensure continuous support and availability of file transfer servicesEnsuring compliance with network security standards and managing certificates for secure file transfersEngaging in team shift planning and performing weekend tasks as needed You are ideal for this role if you have:Strong experience with file transfer methods, particularly JSCAPE.A solid IT technical background, with expertise in operating systems (especially AIX and RHEL as well as Windows Server), network security, and certificate managementAbility to write scripts in Bash, Perl, Python, C:D-Scripting, PowerShell, SQLExcellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, business stakeholders, and external clientsA proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and within a teamFluency in English, with additional proficiency in German being a plusA strong team spirit, demonstrating reliability, responsibility, and a commitment to modern documentation standardsWillingness to participate in shift planning and perform weekend tasks as part of the team’s operational supportA drive to continuously improve and optimize IT processes and systemsIt is a strong plus if you have:Knowledge of IBM Sterling connect:direct and/or rvs:EVOExperience with agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, or DevOpsPrior experience working in financial institutions or within a similar high-regulation environmentFamiliarity with other file transfer protocols and tools like FTP, SFTP, FTPS, Connect:Direct,SSH, SSL/TLS, rvs:EVO, IBM SterlingKnowledge of additional scripting or programming languages relevant to automation and process improvementParticipation in tech communities, open-source projects, or other professional development activitiesWhat’s in it for you?
