We’re looking for a 3D Modeler (aka The Virtual Sculptor) to design, sculpt, and texture 3D models that bring concepts to life across various industries.As a 3D Modeler at our client, you’ll work with creative teams to develop models that align with project goals, from lifelike characters and environments to intricate props and objects.
Your artistry and technical skills will be essential in crafting models that are both visually compelling and optimized for performance.Key Responsibilities: Create High-Quality 3D Models: Design and model 3D assets, including characters, environments, props, and vehicles, with an emphasis on detail, realism, and stylization as needed.
You’ll ensure models align with project aesthetics and functional requirements.
Develop and Apply Textures and Materials: Create and apply textures, UV maps, and materials that enhance realism and visual quality.
You’ll work with shaders and lighting to bring surfaces to life, ensuring consistency across all assets.
Collaborate with Animators and Developers: Work closely with animators, riggers, and developers to ensure models are compatible with animation requirements and engine specifications.
You’ll make adjustments for smooth integration into interactive or animated environments.
Optimize Models for Performance and Efficiency: Optimize polygon counts, textures, and materials to maintain performance across various platforms, including mobile, AR/VR, and gaming engines.
You’ll ensure that assets load quickly without compromising visual quality.
Follow and Maintain Art Style and Guidelines: Adhere to project style guides and artistic direction, ensuring consistency in quality and aesthetics.
You’ll adapt your modeling style as needed to match diverse visual styles and requirements.
Stay Updated on 3D Modeling Software and Techniques: Continuously learn about new 3D modeling tools, software updates, and industry techniques.
You’ll incorporate these advancements to stay at the forefront of 3D design and enhance the quality of your work.
Document Modeling and Texturing Processes: Maintain organized records of modeling workflows, UV maps, and texture layers.
You’ll provide clear documentation for future reference and for team members to understand your work process.
